Rebecca

7-21-06 – 5:00 PM

The status for now is Rebecca just had a spinal tap. She is now in a MRI again to see the progress change. They will compare the previous pictures to the new ones to determine why it is progressing so quickly.

The Doctors feel it is either Chondro Sarcoma or Cordoma, but they still are not sure. The tests have not come in yet for the biopsy, but she has a huge team of Doctors across the board looking into it.

We aren’t sure if they are going to start some type of treatment yet, however they state everything they have seen up until this point is treatable. For now we are still waiting to see what comes back and how progressed it has become. She can’t walk around the complex now like she could before and is weak all over. Becca states that her whole body feels like it has sand paper grinding on her as the numbness has taken over.

I will post more as it becomes available….keep up the prayers, we will see a miracle.

Randy.

She had blood drawn, blood sugar test, spinal tap, EEG on her head, MRI, and a cathitor today.
She has met with all the surgens now. Wednesday seems to be the magic date for surgery. They are going to remove the mass in her tail bone. They started her on a steroid to help start the process and help the three spots on her brain and the back of her neck. They believe that the head and neck are related, and the tail bone and shoulder are related. So it seems that she has two seperate issues. They are waiting until Wednesday so that all the doctors can coordinate. They will biopsy the shoulder while she is sedated for the surgery. They are optimistic and feel everything this far is treatable.

We are joining in the fast, my kids too. We, too, are optimistic as we have witnessed miracles in our own family’s situation just weeks ago. Randy, I believe that if it is the Lord’s will for Rebecca to be healed – it will happen. I know that the prayers and fasting and faith of many people will get you and becca and your families through this ordeal. The Lord will carry you through …I promise that. -shahna
